The original building comprised a single large unit of circa 25,000sq ft with asbestos sheet roofing and cladding. A scheme was developed to demolish part of the existing building and create 4 small trade counter units with associated parking. Works included the full replacement of existing roof and wall cladding, together with a number of structural alterations and internal alterations. The installation of new incoming statutory services was also a key programme deliverable to achieve project completion. The scheme was delivered to a particularly tight timescale in order to meet retailer requirements and achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
